Acne occurs when the hair follicules or pores get clogged with oil. Your skin has oil glands called sebaceous glands that produce an oil called sebum that lubricates the hair and skin. Sometimes a gland will produce to much sebum. If the pore get clogged with oil and dead skin cells a zit will forms. You may have noticed there is more than one type of zit.
